剧情简介

　　The fil m, directed by John McPha il (Anna and the  Apoc al ypse), te l l  s th e s tory of Dinah Little, a no- nonsense, curmudgeonly farmer, and Charlie, the  unloved nie ce who Dinah begrudgingly takes i n after di scovering  her in an orphanage. Dinah's farm is in th e self-procl aimed "Pumpkin  Capital   of the World " where the b iggest event  of the year is a high-s t akes, cutthroat  giant-pumpkin-growing con test with an enormous cash prize. Char lie, who  has a s  pecial bond wi th pla n ts, decides to enter th e c ompetition where she and the othe r pumpkin  growers face sabotage  and a genetically engineered riv al. As sh e nurt u res her pu mpkin ‘Peter’ and watches him  grow, so does a  bo nd  between Dinah and Charl  ie.
